And they’ve brought the sun with them too ~ ah, at last, the weather is great! The Diocese of Taiwan has had a companion link with the Diocese of Osaka since 2004, and so there’s been regular church group visits to and fro for different occasions. Taiwan Lantern Festival 2016 @ Taoyuan!

It’s the Year of the Monkey and monkeys lanterns are everywhere! The 15th day of the first lunar month is the Lantern Festival, and this year the 2016 Lantern Festival is at Taoyuan, on a site covering 20 hectares right at the High-Speed Rail Station ~ just so convenient for us all!  It lasts from February 22 – March 6.  Yesterday was a national holiday in Taiwan and the weather was great, so what better day to go?!
