Yep, what a tour indeed ~ ‘n all in the planning for next week… And next week starts the Episcopal Church House of Bishops Autumn Meeting in Taiwan, and one of the outings arranged for the spouses is, yep, to learn about Buddhism at Dharma Drum Mountain and to Jinshan Old Street to see the Taoist Temples and try all the sweet potato delicacies…. My first ever visit to the Holy Trinity Orthodox Church in Taipei ~ for an NCCT (National Council of Churches of Taiwan) meeting….. The NCCT is quite unique in that RC, Orthodox and Protestant Churches are all represented ~ ‘n it don’t happen like that in many countries! So happens that for these 2 years, 2013-14, Bishop Lai is the NCCT chairperson, and we’re part of the team…. Holy Trinity is quite some church, on the 4th floor of a huge apartment block…. And St. James’ Church, Taichung annual Moon Festival BBQ was another great success! Officially called the Mid-Autumn Moon Festival, but autumn feels a zillion years away ~ it was sooooooo hot and humid ha ha! And of course the moon is supposed to be full, and at its best and most beautiful for the whole year, as but the actual full moon and the Moon Festival is not until Monday we have a few days to go yet. A Summer in Sedbergh – and quite some summer! Tourists galore soaking up the sunshine, browsing in the bookshops and hiking up the Howgills, while the locals are enjoying the summer weather walking their dogs, and smiling at increased trade in the town… Meanwhile I’m busy sorting, clearing, packing and driving up almost daily to the Sedbergh Charity Shop to offload box after box of all sorts of wonderful stuff, now all on display inside the shop and outside on the street. 平安~ 感謝主教及師母以及我所親愛的牧愛堂家人們， 鼓勵我回家探望我的父母親， 也感謝上帝給我這樣的機會! 因為我爸爸搬到英國南部聖公會的安養中心， 但我媽媽還在北部， 所以明天開始將要回到英國陪伴他們! 預計八月底會回到我所愛的台灣~! 緊接著要迎接美國聖公會的主教、師母們蒞臨台灣! Although my father is loving his new life in the clergy care home in southern England, my mother is still at home in northern England awaiting a room to become available at the same place ~ and needing a bit of help and encouragement…..
