‘I give thanks to my God always for you because of the grace of God that has been given you in Christ Jesus.’ 1 Corinthians 1:4
‘When my father says grace before a meal, the beginning of his prayer often varies–giving thanks for family and guests, celebrating special moments. But each time his prayers conclude: “Bless this food and the hands that prepared it. May it strengthen us to go and do your work here on this earth.”
Grace reminds us that our gifts don’t belong to us alone; everything we have is lovingly made and generously shared. Grace reminds us that what we have is meant to share, to make us strong enough to bear God’s good news into the world.’ (Margaret Ellsworth)

Hiking the Taipei Grand Trail and all other trails is better with good weather, good boots and of course good coffee. This is Cold Brew coffee, a gift from Mr. Cheng, owner of Aposo Cake and Dessert Shop, at the reception he hosted after the opening service on November 4, 2023, of the Taiwan Episcopal Church’s new church plant in Hsinchu, located in the space above his shop – which he has kindly offered for the church’s free use.
Yes, indeed, Grace reminds us that our gifts don’t belong to us alone; Grace reminds us that what we have is meant to share, to make us strong enough to bear God’s good news into the world.
