‘In college I used to dream in great detail about my writing assignments. (Yes, I was that nerdy student!) I’d come up with such inspiring ideas while sleeping–only to wake up and realize they made no sense. I’d dream of beautifully written paragraphs – only to find my document still blank in the morning.

The people of God in Babylon woke up in exile, day after day. But they still remembered their dreams of a future more inspiring and beautiful than they could fully imagine. Getting to the top, then looking back the way we’ve come to catch a view like this is the cherry on the cake, the stuff of dreams. Blue sky and sea, a few clouds, clear tops, refreshing breeze, awesome views ~ makes the climbing all worthwhile, clears our heads, opens up new horizons. And gives us fresh energy and vision to dream and pray and work for a better, fairer and kinder world where peace, justice and love prevail.
