Warning: the Friendship Magazine is jam-packed, 56 (yes, 56!) pages of interesting articles, which should keep you well-supplied with reading material for these long, cold autumn nights. If you would like a printed copy, please let me know your postal address. The first article is about Rev. Michael Ting-Hua Liu, former dean of St. John’s Cathedral, Taipei, who died recently, aged 84. The article includes mention of how he received a CMS bursary in 1973 and spent the year in the UK and Ireland, including staying at Crowther Hall for several months ~ he always told the most wonderful stories about his travels. Then there are also fascinating articles from all 6 people who went from Taiwan to attend the EYE (Episcopal Youth Event) in the USA this past July, and also 7 of the 19 people who participated in the diocesan mission trip to West Malaysia in August, which was fairly eventful – but you’ll have to read what happened for yourselves!

And finally, from my link letter, you’ll see we’re surrounded by building work, both on our cathedral compound in the kindergarten (above photo) and across the road with a huge 23-storey apartment building going up (photo below). Current status: NOISY!
