Some photos of Ash Wednesday yesterday here at St. John’s Cathedral, Taipei, with the burning of the old palm crosses, and then the imposition of ashes during the service in the evening – with almost 60 people. Wishing you all a meaningful Lent…

Yesterday also saw the publication here of the latest Diocese of Taiwan Friendship Magazine, with news of the Taiwan Episcopal Church – it’s very suitable to read during Lent, particularly as a break from the World News, and do pray for us!
Meanwhile, cherry blossoms are everywhere in Taipei!

The daffodils are also out in Yangmingshan, Taipei – this photo was taken last Friday, just in time for St. David’s Day on March 1.

The blue sky and yellow daffodils also remind us of the Ukrainian flag, blue above for the sky, and yellow below for the extensive wheat fields of that country, traditionally known as the bread basket of Europe, reminding us to continue to pray for Ukraine, for peace and justice for all.
