What a Day! πŸ˜… Watching Alex Honnold Free Solo Live up Taipei 101 πŸ˜… And he did it! 🀩 YES!

“You will always feel fear, but over time you will realize the only way to truly manage your fear is to broaden your comfort zone.” Alex Honnold

What a Day in Taipei! πŸ˜±πŸ™ Following the Red Dot ~ Watching Alex Honnold’s Free Solo Climb up Taipei 101 Live ~ yes, 101 floors with no ropes, helmet or safety equipment ~ and he did it! And so fast, only 90 minutes to the top. 🀩 YES!

What excitement, what relief! Just watching it was nerve-wracking enough, and certainly one way, as Alex Honnold says, to ‘broaden your comfort zone.’ 😧 With the event being postponed 24 hours due to the weather, we had one more day of suspense to endure. 😧 But all turned out well ~ much relief all round! πŸ˜…πŸ˜…

PS Yes, we watched the first half live from 9:00 to 9:45 am, then got the MRT 15 minutes back to St. John’s Cathedral, Taipei, ready for the 10:30 combined service, and dared to watch the second half on livestream at the back of the church – yes, he got to the top during the first 15 minutes of the Sunday service!

What a day in Taipei! Go Alex! Go Taiwan!
